Story
This is one that is quite meaningful to me. Back end of 2023, my family and I learned that my Nanna (Diana Mount) was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Its been a very difficult end to 2023 and start to 2024 after losing such a huge part of the familt and I can only imagine how difficult it was for her. She was an absolute treasure and and an incredible lady. I wouldn’t have changed her for the world, she made everyone feel loved and the love for my Nanna and the love I felt from her is something that will remain with me always.
She passed on the 8th January 2024, in memory of her I will be doing a Self Supported Full Ironman Distance Triathlon. My good friend Brad will be joining me for this, which I’m very lucky for. This is something out of my comfort zone but if there’s any reason to push my boundaries this is something worth doing it for.
The support that my Nanna, my family and I received along the way was something we all greatly appreciated. I want to fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support, so other individuals and their families in similar situations can get the best support through these tough journey’s too.
Any donations or support in anyway would be massively appreciated and I’d be very grateful for. Even if its only a little, it means a heck of a lot. Thank you.
