Story
I am thrilled to be running the London Marathon in April 2026 in support of two great causes: my workplace charity, the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, and for Charlie Price, an extraordinary para-athlete and fellow member of Gloucester Athletic Club.
Charlie is pursuing her ambition of competing at the Los Angeles Paralympics and has recently been selected as one of just 19 para-athletes nationwide for the UK Athletics Futures Programme for 2025/26. As a frame runner, competing at this elite level requires significant funding for specialist equipment, training, and travel.
I was fortunate to secure my London Marathon place through Gloucester Athletic Club, and funds raised will be donated to the Track charity (Gloucester Athletic Track Management) to directly support Charlie’s journey.
The St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation (www.sjpfoundation.co.uk) was established in 1992 and enables staff and advisers at St. James’s Place plc to give back to their local communities. Over more than 30 years, the generosity of the SJP community has raised millions of pounds for charitable causes, making it one of the largest corporate foundations in the UK.
To make your support go even further, St. James’s Place will generously match every donation pound for pound. In addition, UK taxpayers can increase the value of their donation through Gift Aid, with higher-rate taxpayers potentially eligible for further tax relief.
Thank you very much for your support and for helping me make a real difference through this challenge
