Pokemon Card Trade Up Challenge
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, My Name is Chris or as some of you know me as Papa Croc I am 42 from Whitstable, Kent
The main reason I started raising money was when I was diagnosed in late 2016 with a rare eye condition, I have what’s called Doyne Honeycomb Retinal Dystrophy – a condition that affects the eye and could eventually cause loss of vision.
As we are aware, there is no treatment or cure for the condition and despite being really rare, it’s since come to light that my Great Great Great Great Grandfather was one of the first to be diagnosed with the condition. My grandmother’s Sister was also registered blind so there’s definitely a genetic link. Despite the challenges that we thought would lie ahead, I have been lucky and my vision hasn’t change that much compared to what they said would happen.
I completed Mount Kilimanjaro in August 2017 and we hit our first target of £5,000 and now I have started a new fun challenge with the Pokemon Card Trade up Challenge where I started with a basic lighting energy card and we are training up as far as we can and then we will auction off and donate the proceeds to Action for Children.
We have been very lucky and have had some amazing donations of cards and some good trades too, all the cards that are donated we will auction those off too and we hope to mayb take some of those cards to some of the children involved in the charity.
Once again thank you all so much for your support you have all been incredible.
