Story
A group of work colleagues and friends, Chris (myself) Toby, Nigel, Ben, Gerard, Jack, Nathan, Harry and Scott as our driver are coming together this June to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge, raising money for Samaritans, an organisation that supports thousands of people every year with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
This challenge involves climbing the highest mountain in each nation of Great Britain — Ben Nevis in Scotland (1,345m), Scafell Pike in England (978m), and Snowdon in Wales (1,085m) — all within a 24-hour period, or as close to it as possible. It is a demanding physical and mental test that requires determination, teamwork, and resilience. Statistics show that only around 50% of teams complete the challenge within 24–25.5 hours.
We are taking this on together — every mile walked, every summit reached, and every pound raised is a collective effort. By supporting this challenge, you are helping Samaritans continue their vital work of being there for people when they need someone to listen, without judgement.
Thank you for supporting us and helping make a real difference.
Many people find it hard to speak openly or ask for help, but talking can be life-saving – whether it's with a colleague, family member, friend or helpline like Samaritans. Every 10 seconds, Samaritans volunteers respond to a call for help. Samaritans are available, for free, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to listen and support people with whatever they are facing, with no judgement. It’s only your kind donations and 23,000 listening volunteers that ensure Samaritans can always be there for anyone struggling to cope. Thank you for your help.
