Chris's boxing match for Stroke Association

Chris Parton is raising money for Stroke Association

UWCB Stoke 19th July 2025 · 19 July 2025 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Strokes can hit anyone, any time and any where. I found this out the hard way when I lost the most important woman in my life, my Mum, on Christmas Day 2022.

Words can't really describe her, but I'll do my best. She was the most caring, loving, hyper, fun, sometimes crazy, person I'd ever met. And she definitely passed her hyperness and craziness onto me!

So you're probably wondering why boxing? The honest answer is I have no idea! It was a sport she hated me doing all those years ago when I was 11. But like I said I got my craziness from her and here we are..... I'm going to be boxing in the name of charity

I know she'll be watching over me during this one, cringing at every hit I take and cheering every hit I give. Might be a long and painful night for me, but it will be in her memory. So any donation, no matter how big or small is massively appreciated and it will all go to the stroke association.

Thank you and I'll see you on the 19th July!
