In 2020 my brother James sadly lost his battle with cancer and then in 2025 I lost my dad following a short battle with heart disease. In their memory and honour I will be running the Manchester Half Marathon in October 2025 and then the Manchester Marathon in April 2026. Those of you who know me well will know I am not a natural runner so this challenge will be interesting to say the least.

The Christie is my chosen charity to raise money for. The were of huge support to James during his treatment and a massive emotional support to us as a family. They were also trying their best to diagnose what was wrong with dad before he was taken into hospital. I'm hoping to raise £1000 combined for both events and any donations will be much appreciated and a huge motivator for me during the next 9 months of training.
