Story
I’ll be joining several other parents from our school who have signed to do this 50 mile in 24 hour challenge, in order to raise money for Chapter 2. Some of the parents know the guy who founded it with the aim of supporting kids growing up without a father figure by providing mentors to them. The hope being that by providing positive male role models some of the problems of toxic masculinity, gang affiliation, and the misogyny that comes from such things all could be reduced.
It’s a small charity and they rely on fundraising events like this. Thank you for supporting.
Chapter2 provides long-term, 1-2-1 male mentors who form enduring friendships with fatherless boys. Our mentoring is active and fun, offering: a consistent, reliable adult, guidance, and new experiences that build confidence and self-esteem.
On Father’s Day weekend 2026, a group will walk or run 50 miles through the Peak District, including climbing the height of Scafell Pike, to raise £100,000 for mentoring programs. Every donation helps a boy find a mentor, a role model, and the chance to thrive.
