Chris's fundraiser for Disability Sports Coach

Chris Randall is raising money for Disability Sports Coach

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

We use the power of sport to enhance the lives of disabled people. Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. Through our inclusive clubs, coaching sessions in schools and expert-led training, we break down barriers to sport for 5,000 disabled people each year.

Story

I'm delighted that Disability Sports Coach has given me the opportunity to run the 2026 London Marathon.

As a Trustee since 2018 and as a lover of sport, it is a charity that is very close to my heart. I'm privileged to have seen how their brilliant work uses the power of sport and physical activity to make a real difference in the lives of disabled people and their families. This enables those that are under-served to get that endorphin kick, to feel part of a community and to achieve their potential.

Those that know me, will recognise that I struggle to get out of bed without twanging a hamstring or calf, or rolling an ankle, so this could well be my Everest. Rest assured, I have downloaded the Runna app and, fitness permitting, am following it religiously in an attempt to be ready for the big day.

Both the charity and I would be extremely grateful for any donation you are able to make, however big or small.

I'd also be grateful for any cheers of support if you see me training or plodding round the course on the day. Wish me luck!
