In April 2025 my mum was diagnosed with motor neurone disease. It came as a huge shock to everyone who knew her, because she was otherwise fit and healthy. She died this year. Her name was Celestina and I miss her every day.

On 4 April 2027 I'm running the Brighton Marathon in her memory, raising £350 for the MND Association, who fund research into motor neurone disease and support families facing it.
