Story
I am running this Humber Bridge Half Marathon in honour of my sister Catherine, whom wanted to run it to raise money for a charity very close to her heart and has been kicking the ass of epilepsy for the past 15 years. And in the words of her, F**K Epilepsy!
I am forever amazed at the things she has been able to do in her life even though her epilepsy has been a constant challenge with numerous hospital visits and hundreds of different medications to try and get it under contol.
Even if she falls flat on her face (Which has happened more times that we'd all like to think about) she is always positive and determined to never let it define her. She runs her own skateboard coaching business, has been around the world teaching young people how to skate, is a GB certified skate coach and a huge advicate for female inclusion.
I initially agreed to run this with her but as she is now unable to run it, wanted to dedicate to her and all the awesome things she will continue to do. So here is to my amazing and incredible sister, you inspire me to keep trying no matter what challenges I am faced with and I look forward to seeing you on the finish line!!!
