Riding 1000 miles from Lands End to John o’Groats · 1 September 2025

Rowans Hospice provides end of life care across South East Hampshire. We help improve quality of life for the patient around the clock. We receive a very small level of Government support and almost all of the money required to provide our services needs to be raised through voluntary giving.

Story

Hiya,

Many of you will know I’ve had Crohns Disease for many years now. Over 25 to be precise. I’ve lost count of the amount of operations I’ve had related to it. (I think it’s 14!!!) I’ve had 3 major surgeries on my bowel and have had a permanent Stoma since 2022. This means I poo in a bag. If the ride wasn’t challenging enough it will be even harder dealing with the issues that come with Crohns and dealing with a Stoma. The Rowans Hospice is a local charity very close to many of our hearts in the Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

If you could kindly spare a few quid it would be so greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Chris
