The ARRP headed by Lt Col (Retd) Baz Melia seeks to provide crisis intervention to those former members of The Rifles family suffering mental health issues including PTSD in the period before NHS and other mental health charities are able to react.

Story

Bournemouth 50km Ultramarathon

I am taking part in the Bournemouth 50km Ultramarathon on Saturday 14th October and thought you might want to help. Not by running in it, but by speading the word about the Always a Rifleman Programme (AARP), and possibly even making a small donation to help the regimental charity that funds it.

Some of you will have already heard of the AARP, which is unique to The Rifles, its forming and antecedent regiments, which is very close to my heart, ran by Rifleman for Rifleman.

The AARP delivers support in the first few hours of an emerging crisis and paves the way to wellness for an individual who is in difficulty. It is an incredibly important charity that does great work supporting serving and veteran Rifleman and their families.
