🗻Climbing Mount Toubkal for Crisis UK: A Journey of Hope🗻

Mount Toubkal, standing tall at 4,167 meters (13,671 feet), beckons adventurers from around the world. Its rugged beauty, snow-capped peaks, and breath-taking vistas make it an iconic destination for trekkers. But this journey is more than just conquering a mountain; it’s about to be a journey that makes a difference

A journey that I am really excited to be part of - I have been selected as part of the LBG team who will be taking part in the Group's signature Trek in September!😁

The Trek

My six-day adventure begins as I set foot in the Atlas Mountains, where sun and snow coexist. I’ll traverse rocky trails, witness awe-inspiring views, and explore remote mountain villages. Along the way, I'll encounter the mystic village of Sidi Chamharouchand the picturesque town of Imlil, nestled in a green valley at the foot of Toubkal.

Why This Trek Matters - Supporting Crisis UK

I am a trustee of a local charity which supports those in financial need. Whilst homelessness isn't always as a result of financial crisis, it can often be a catalyst, so I see first-hand the impact this has. I wanted to try and make a difference on a bigger scale, through a once in a lifetime opportunity.

As I ascend, I will remember that every step I'm taking is a step towards change. By participating in this charity trek, I'm raising funds for Crisis UK, who support the hundreds of thousands of households across the UK facing homelessness.

Over the coming weeks and months, keep an eye out for updates and events taking place to help me reach my goal of £4,000. It's a huge sum, perhaps more daunting than the mountain itself, but I am sure with the support of my amazing Payments friends and colleagues we can make short work of the target! Our efforts will directly impact lives throughout the UK, offering hope and healing.
