Climb of Mount Toubkal, Morrocco · 28 September 2024

Emmaus Hampshire provides a unique solution to homelessness by offering formerly homeless and socially excluded people a home, a place of work, and a chance to regain their self-respect and develop new skills in a supportive community environment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Whenever I walk to work across London Bridge I am struck by the seemingly growing number of homeless people I encounter. It’s deeply unfair that so many individuals are forced to live without the basic necessities that many of us take for granted and this is why I am raising funds on behalf of Emmaus Hampshire. This is an incredible organisation that provides not just shelter, but also meaningful work and a supportive community for those experiencing homelessness. It is also a charity close to my heart as my mum, Alison has worked tirelessly to support for many years. By donating, you can help Emmaus Hampshire continue their vital work, offering hope and a fresh start to those in need. Your contribution, however small, will be gratefully received and can go towards helping someone to rebuild their life

So....on the 28th September, over 3 days, i'll be climbing Mount Toubkal in Morocco with Stuart Helm, John Harcourt, Paul Undery and Graham Tyler. At 4,167m it is the highest peak in North Africa.

If nothing else have a read up on Emmaus and see the wonderful work that they do. Thanks for reading!
