Waterways Chaplains offers support to those who use and live on the UK waterways and canals. Chaplains are volunteers from local churches who regularly visit the waterways offering companionship and a listening ear to individuals and businesses.

Story

The Waterways Chaplaincy offers vital support to vulnerable individuals living or working along the UK’s canals and rivers, including those experiencing homelessness, isolation, or mental health struggles.

Our chaplains provide a listening ear, practical help, and hope to people often overlooked by mainstream services.

I’m cycling the length of the Leeds Liverpool Canal in one go (but from Liverpool to Leeds so I can get the train home afterwards!) to raise funds for this incredible cause. Every donation helps ensure more people know of our work and so that more chaplains can be trained, equipped, and be present where they’re needed most.

Please support my ride and help bring kindness, connection, and care to those navigating life’s rougher waters.

Every mile matters—every gift makes a difference.
