I’m raising money for this fabulous charity that brings joy and dancing into the lives of people living with dementia and their carers. With the support of some amazing volunteers, they provide regular fun discos, with free food and great music.

Four years ago, my mum was diagnosed with dementia and she was scared about what that meant. When we go to the disco, we see and talk to people who are experiencing some of the same issues as us. We also have a dance, my mum had been a keen line dancer and she is thrilled that she can still do a grapevine and quarter turn! She absolutely loved meeting and dancing with Andy Burnham when he came to a disco last year. She really comes alive with the social setting and music.
