The British Heart Foundation was important to Chris/Dad/Grandad for two contrasting reasons. First, Chris experienced heart-related illnesses throughout his life and lost family members to them. Second, and perhaps just as importantly, BHF funded one of the major projects Chris worked on - the British Regional Heart Study (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/epidemiology-health-care/research/primary-care-and-population-health/research/brhs). This landmark cohort study has been running for 46 years and focuses on the causes and consequences of heart disease in men. Chris was there at the beginning, recruiting participants and analyzing the data with his friends Andy and others. Please donate so they can continue their impactful work.
