Story
Next year, I’m taking on the London Marathon for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. I’m running for Autistica, inspired by our amazing three-year-old son, Archie, who is autistic.
The past year has been one of the most challenging our family has faced. We’ve watched our little boy struggle to navigate a world that can often feel overwhelming and misunderstood, and we’ve experienced the worries, uncertainties and emotions that so many families in the autistic community know all too well. But through it all, he continues to amaze us every single day with his resilience, his joy and his unique way of seeing the world.
As parents, we are learning alongside him every day. We want him – and every autistic child and adult – to grow up in a world that understands, accepts and supports them, allowing them to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives. That’s why I’m proud to be supporting Autistica, whose incredible research is helping to create a more inclusive future and improve the lives of autistic people and their families.
Running 26.2 miles will undoubtedly be tough, but whenever training gets hard, I’ll think of my boy and the courage and determination he and so many others show every day. If you are able to support me, no matter how big or small the donation, I would be so grateful. Together, we can help build a world where autistic people are understood, accepted and given every opportunity to thrive.
Thank you so so much for reading story and it would truly mean the world to our family if you can support me as I take on the 2027 TCS London Marathon to raise funds for Autistica.
