Chris's fundraiser for Down's Syndrome Association

Chris Walsh is raising money for Down's Syndrome Association

adidas Manchester Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The marathon entry was a fathers day gift believe it or not and whilst I have to say I wasn't particularly enthused, I did see this as a brilliant opportunity to support two brilliant charities.

Down's Syndrome Association -

Emily, my niece is a wonderful young lady now and hasn't let down syndrome restrict her in any way. Her energy, passion and character makes her who she is today, leading a full life with the support of her family and friends.

I'd like to be able to raise funds to support Down's Syndrome Association, given the work they do supporting families and carers, focusing on advocacy, education, health and social inclusion amongst other areas.

This is such an important charity and support mechanism for those directly and indirectly living with down syndrome.

Holly's Hearts - https://www.justgiving.com/page/chris-walsh-1

To lose anyone to cancer is truly tragic and to lose a child to cancer is unimaginable. Yet from the this tragic inconceivable set of circumstances, this wonderful charity was launched by the Prince family.

Determined to honour Holly's legacy, this amazing charity was born with a mission to bring smiles and joy to families fighting cancer. Creating memories that last a lifetime, helping kids and families at the toughest treatments.

Raising funds for Holly's Hearts will allow them to provide even more families with personalised gifts and meaningful moments to help brighten their journey.

Help me, help them by supporting me through sponsorship for this event and all donations are truly appreciated!

See you at the finish (hopefully) x
