The Long Return

In 2015, I stood on the Pennine Way attempting the Spine Race.

I never finished.

Three years later, I lost my left leg in a motorcycle accident.

Most people assumed my days of big expeditions were over.

They weren’t.

This September, I’ll climb Allalinhorn (4,027m) in the Swiss Alps to launch The Long Return—a multi-expedition fundraising campaign in honour of Guy Homan, an SAS veteran, mountaineer and friend whose example continues to inspire me.

This is the first chapter of a journey that will lead on to the Pennine Way and, ultimately, the Eiger, all in support of the SAS Regimental Association, helping fund its charitable work supporting members of the SAS community, their families and dependants.

Every step, every climb and every mile is about proving that adversity doesn’t have to be the end of the story.
