Story
Our story:
Anyone who knows me is well aware that the only running I could probably do is running a bath! However, on Sunday 7th December I’m going to take on the Liverpool 5k Santa Dash in an effort to not only get fitter but to also raise funds for a good cause.
Many of you won’t be aware that unfortunately my mum was recently diagnosed with metastatic cancer and will begin treatment at Clatterbridge in the coming weeks.
I have chosen to run for the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as they have already provided our family with support and assistance, and will do so for the foreseeable future.
Please, if you can, donate any amount big or small that you feel that you can afford, to help support our family and this fabulous charity. Don’t forget to please add gift aid where you can.
About the charity:
Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is the only dedicated charity for patients and research at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The Centre makes over 220,000 patient contacts to over 30,000 patients a year, offering pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and proton therapy treatments from eighteen operating sites across Merseyside and Cheshire, and including the Isle of Man
By choosing to support our Charity, you will help us to improve patient experience, fund vital research, the latest therapies and innovations in cancer treatment.
We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. We pride ourselves on providing an environment in which patients receive the best possible experience, with the special touches that mean so much.
It is so important to us that we can do this for our patients, at our centres in Liverpool, Wirral and Aintree along with our network of chemotherapy clinics in hospitals across the region.
