Story
This year, I'm attempting to walk 1,077 miles round Wales via Offa's Dyke and the Wales Coast Path, hoping to finish on my 75th birthday in October.
I'm walking for Blood Cancer UK. I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia in 2020, one of the 40,000 people diagnosed with a blood cancer each year in the UK.
Money raised for Blood Cancer UK has meant that the charity has been able to invest £500M in research, which has changed the outlook for people with Blood Cancer. This research has led to better treatments that have dramatically increased survival rates. Right now, research projects across the UK are finding out more about Blood Cancer and the best way to treat it.
I'm funding the walk myself, so everything I raise through your sponsorship will go to Blood Cancer UK.
It would be wonderful if I could raise £10 for every mile. I hope you will help me achieve my target of £10,770. Thank you!
