The wonderful Chris, our beloved husband and father, died at home on Tuesday 21st July 2026, after a brave and courageous fight against cancer.

He is, and will always be, greatly missed.

His stoicism and unrelenting resilience throughout the numerous treatments he endured over the four years since his diagnosis was inspiring. He also continued to enjoy activities he loved as best as he could, in particular walking the Lakeland Fells with his beloved golden retrievers.

Chris was an ardent supporter of the Great North Air Ambulance Service. He saw at first hand the incredible work they do throughout the many years he volunteered with Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team. He was also incredibly proud of his son, Tom, who in recent years has been one of GNAAS’ Doctors.

We request that any donations in his memory are given to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Chris’ Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 1pm on Wednesday 5th August 2026 at St Michael’s Church, Lowther.
