Hi, I’m Chris. Thanks for visiting. I’m walking around the coast of Britain to raise money in aid of cancer research. It’ll be roughly 5500 miles, self-supported, carrying everything and camping most nights.

One of my friends died from cancer when I was younger. Ever since, I’ve wanted to do a challenge for cancer research. Then a few years ago two women I’d known both passed away from cancer shortly after giving birth to their first child. My grandma, grandpa, uncle, cousin and other relatives have also had cancer. So, I came up with this plan.

There’s no corporate sponsorships or record breaking here my friends... Just one very average guy trying to plod around Britain without getting blown off a cliff, zapped by lightning or trampled to death by a cow.

Roughly 1 in 2 people in the UK will get cancer in our lifetime. In the last 40 years survival rates have doubled from 25% to 50%. Cancer Research UK’s ambition is for 75% of people to survive at least 10 years or more by 2034.

Cancer Research UK are the world’s largest independent funder of cancer research. They’ve helped develop 8 of the top 10 cancer drugs in the world. They have many other accolades I could have included here, but I didn't want it to drag on.
