"Sci-Tech cyclists" LEJOG cycling challenge fundraise for The Children's Adventure Farm Trust

CAFT helps children aged 17 and under who through no fault of their own miss out on the normalities of childhood. A free day visit, residential stay or themed visit, provides these children with a much needed opportunity to have fun & laughter and to simply enjoy being children.

Story

The Children's Adventure Farm Trust are our sponsored charity partner at Sci-Tech Daresbury where we work. They do incredible work providing a a range of facilities from sports centre to petting zoo to forest school for children in the NW who for a variety of reasons to get a chance to enjoy them. The needs of the children visiting the farm are complex including severe physical or learning disabilities, sensory impairment, terminal illnesses and children who are carers for family members.

This year they are looking to bring 21,000 children to their site for the day or overnight. To do this will cost £1m and we want to do our bit to help them do the great things they do.

We have assembled a great team of enthusiastic but perhaps not so athletically able cyclists who are looking to cycle the equivalent distance of Lands End to John O'Groats in the month of September. A total distance of 1179 miles.

A big thanks to the great team:
