Story
This summer, Everyman is on a Big Bold Beautiful Journey to raise funds for the incredible charity MediCinema.
MediCinema builds fully equipped cinemas inside hospitals, giving patients and families the chance to escape the wards and experience the magic of film together – something I think is truly special for anyone facing long or difficult stays.
I’ve been lucky that my own hospital experiences have been short, but since becoming a mum I can only imagine how much joy and relief this brings to people who can’t just walk out when they want to.
It’s been 13 years since I last did a running event – fitness has been a bit stop-start ever since – but I’m determined to take on the Vitality 10k next weekend. My goal is to cross the line in under 60 minutes. Most of my casual 5ks take me around 34–36 minutes, so it’s going to be a real challenge, but I’m ready to push myself further than I have in years.
I’ll be running alongside three of my Everyman operations colleagues, but across the company so many of our teams have been walking, running, and cycling since July – and together we’ve already raised over £10,000 for MediCinema.
Now it’s my turn to do my bit. I’m aiming to raise £250, and every donation – big or small – will help bring the joy of cinema to people who need it most.
If you can, please cheer me on and help me reach my target. Thank you so much for your support!
