CHRISSIE’S story

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in December last year, we never thought our lives could get any worse but it did! This year on the 23rd May we tragically and suddenly lost our beautiful son Duncan Sunderland. He was 30 years old. Duncan supported & followed a lot of Cancer Charities since my diagnosis, however, we know his preferred charity would be the Pickering Centre Cancer Drop in Charity in Tunbridge Wells. Duncan knew that they were helping and supporting me throughout my treatment.

Since Duncan passed away The Pickering Centre have continued to help, support and offer kindness. When people are experiencing difficult times in their lives, The Pickering Centre really do make a difference.

It’s become a tradition every year to hold a Christmas Wreath Workshop with a special group of friends. This year we would like to donate everything to the Pickering Centre in memory of my treasured son Duncan Sunderland.

Duncan was the kindest, most thoughtful, gentle soul.

He would be so chuffed!
