From 3 - 9 September, I'll be walking 84 miles along Hadrian's Wall with a group of friends, and I'm hoping to raise some money for a cause that means a great deal to our family.

Bradford Bulls Community Foundation is the official charity of Bradford Bulls rugby club. They run projects across the Bradford community using rugby and other sports to bring people together. This includes holiday camps, community days, educational projects, and their wheelchair rugby team, which is the branch closest to my heart.

My grandson has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. He's the only boy in his primary school who does, which isn't always easy for a child his age. Playing in the Foundation's wheelchair rugby development team has given him something so important: a place where using a wheelchair is simply normal, where he's just one of the team, and where he gets to be a sportsman like any other kid. Watching him play with that confidence and pride means the world to us.

The Foundation has also become an incredible support network for my son and his partner, a community of other families who understand, and who they can lean on.

That's why I want to raise money for this team specifically, so more children like Jacob can have what he's had.
