Cycle London to Chicago for Bart and Christian · 11 September 2023

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

I am taking part in Celent’s “Friends of Bart & Christian’s” Charity Event which is raising funds for the Davis Phinney Foundation and Parkinson UK who are working to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease from both sides of the pond.

The Celent team are looking to cycle 4000 miles in the next 30 days. Please see the company European team page for more information.

On a personal level, I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s, when I was 41 and as one would expect over the last ten years the disease has progressed…well, let’s just say it’s definitely been a journey. Slowly but surely Parkinson’s takes its toll; physical, cognitive, social, and emotional. The impact on me and my family has been immense with life goals and plans radically reshaped by a career cut short…. just when it was getting interesting too!

I want to thank and applaud Celent, all my colleagues and everyone taking part in this hugely worthwhile cause helping to eliminate this cruel brain disease.

Thanks for your support.
