Hi all. Thanks for taking a look at this fund raising page, the first I have ever created. Another first is that on June 7th I will join a few others to cycle 683km around Burundi in 7 days with around 38,000 feet elevation gain! That is a lot of hills and the equivalent of two Mt Everests.

Why Bike for Burundi? Why put myself through this agony (and joy)?

Great Lakes Outreach (GLO) the charity I am raising money for is truly amazing and led by a dear friend of mine.

'GLO identifies, equips and empowers the best local leaders of passion, integrity, gifting and vision for the transformation of Burundi, bottom-up and top-down'.

In my 31 years of working in and with Africa, I have witnessed first hand how the poorest and most marginalised can suffer. Many in Burundi, one of the world’s poorest countries, are empowered through the work of GLO and their partner projects.

Please believe me when I say this charity literally saves lives daily and gives people dignity.
