Throw a pebble into a pond, and ripples are created which spread, changing all the water. Ripple Effect is creating a wave of change in rural Africa, bringing farmers together to learn how to make their farms more productive, lifting themselves out of poverty, and sharing what they learn with families and neighbours. For every family worked with, three more families benefit. Soon hundreds, then thousands, are thriving. It’s a movement that grows and grows.

Inspired by visiting some Ripple Effect projects in Ethiopia, I am taking on le Marathon des Chateaux du Medoc on 2nd September. I am honoured to be racing alongside two IronMan legends - Emma Edworthy and Cath Colleypriest, who are selflessly supporting me as I chase this dream.
