I'm fundraising for the Scoo-B-Doo Neonatal Fund

Christie-Anne Wayman is raising money for Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity

5k a day for the month of August · 1 August 2025

Each year, over 600 newborn infants need dedicated care in the Neonatal Ward at our hospitals. Our neonatal fund continues the exceptional work of our partner charity Scoo-B-Doo, who provide over 80% of the equipment used on the ward every day.

Story

Our darling daughter Adaleine will be 1 in September, she’s here with us today because of the incredible care she received in the Neonatal Unit.

Due to complications she was born 8 weeks early via emergency C section, weighing 2.13lb. Adaleine spent just over 4 weeks in intensive care and the neonatal unit.

Every nurse, doctor and trainee showed willingness and unwavering determination to help every baby and parent in what is a heart wrenching experience.

We are eternally grateful that in six weeks time we will be celebrating 1 whole year of Adaleine and whilst doing so we would like to show our appreciation to the Gloucester Royal Hospital Neonatal Team.

Throughout the month of August, George will run 5k everyday, whilst I (with Adaleine in tow) will be walking 5k everyday. Please spare anything you can, no matter how small, because that could make the difference in saving another babies life.
