We provide suicide prevention resources to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

In 2020 our close friend, my father of choice's best friend, decided to take his own life after a long struggle with mental health. I'm still utterly heart broken by the loss... He had such a positive impact on my life - my fondest memory was him allowing a 19 year old me to drive his brand new Audi TT around the block. His confidence in me, his friendship, he was a real role model to me. I still feel so helpless... so this is my very small contribution. My hope that perhaps we can provide a life line to someone else, and also change the perception of mental health struggles, for men in particular.

75% of all UK suicides are male. That's 93 male suicides a WEEK, making it the greatest cause of death in men under 45.

CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.

From advice on their site, through to free, confidential chats with their helpline staff, online or on the phone, we’re here for whoever needs us, every day. No matter what.

£8 funds one such phone call, which could save a life.
