it provides relief and financial assistance to the poor and needy of Nuevo Prosperino in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Providing Educational, welfare and spiritual assistance.

Story

On Sunday the 29th of September, in honour of the wonderful and inspirational Fr Martin, we will walk from St Matthew’s in Kilmarnock to Our Lady of the Assumption and St Meddan’s in Troon. We will start by attending 09:30 mass at St Matthew’s, Kilmarnock. Afterwards, we will have some tea/coffee and rolls in the church hall before setting off. We will mark the end of our journey with some prayers in Our Lady of the Assumption and St Meddan’s in Troon. We will then come together for some refreshments in the Church hall.

Our aim is to raise funds for the Martin Chambers Ecuador Trust. Mhartino’s energy and passion for helping those in need has touched the lives of so many. His unwavering faith, undeniable selflessness, compassion and enthusiasm transformed the lives of so many Ecuadorian people. By providing access to education and building churches he brought so much hope to communities stricken by poverty.

We are honoured to be continuing his legacy and hope to raise sufficient funds so the trust can continue to support those in need. Fr Martin had such a wonderful way of bringing people together and therefore we would like to open our fundraising event to anyone who would like to join. If you would like to participate just drop myself a message or call on 07445253213. Please note anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

In the words of Bishop Frank, “To know Martin was to know a man of love, enthusiasm, humour and a deep faith which enlivened all that he did.”

It’s with this in mind, we take on our challenge. In honour of our friend. Ecuador’s friend. A man who’ll forever be everyone’s hero ❤️

We would really appreciate any donations.

Thank you in advance.
