Thank you for being a part of our running journey and helping us raise funds for incredible charities along the way.
Stuart and myself have recently joined Team Carli after hearing about the charity and it touched a massive part of our hearts.
On 1st June 2017, Carli Lansley – sadly passed away from Sudden Arrythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) at the age of just 36, leaving her husband Karl and two young children – Jessica and Ethan.
Their aim is to raise sufficient funds to cover the cost of holding ECG screenings for young people (aged 14-35) in the Southend area. These screenings will enable 100 young people per day to receive a free ECG. It is a naturally devastating event for a family to go through and Karl and his family are trying to do something positive to prevent any other family experiencing this.
Unfortunately the running community is too frequently touched by heart related deaths and the work that the Carli Lansley Foundation is doing to prevent this is invaluable.
