Story
I’m raising funds for pancreatic cancer research at The Ottawa Hospital.
Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in Canada, with over 6,000 Canadians losing their lives each year. While outcomes remain challenging, research is opening the door to new and more effective treatments.
On May 23, I will be running in the Ottawa Race Weekend in memory of my husband, Col/Dr Carl Walker, and in support of all those affected by this disease.
Your donation will support vital research in Dr. Ilkow’s lab, including the purchase of a Thermal Cycler—essential equipment used to develop new genetic and immune-based therapies. This will help researchers work faster and move promising treatments closer to patients.
Every contribution brings us one step closer to better outcomes.
