Please help me raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research at The Ottawa Hospital 

On May 23, I will be running in the Ottawa Race Weekend to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research, in memory of my late husband Col/Dr Carl Walker and to support all those who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  

Every year, about 6,500 Canadians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Sadly, most of these people will succumb to this devastating illness with in 3 to 6 months.  

At the moment there is not a treatment or cure available for this type of cancer as it is the least funded cancer for research, receiving only 0.1% of all the cancer money raised for research. 

Your donation will go to Dr. Ilkow’s lab, to purchase a Thermal Cycler to help them continue their research in pancreatic cancer at the Ottawa Hospital.
