In May 2024 my life changed when I had a stroke, admitted to hospital I was given the most devastating news that I had a blood clot on the brain. I broke down, thinking this was going to be my life, paralysed on one side, slurred speech and not been able to think clearly. Fortunately nearly 2 years later I am back cycling, having a greater appreciation for doing what I love doing, my intention is to raise awareness and funds for The Stroke Association and help others in a less fortunate position.
