Story
I’m running at NYBG!
The New York Botanical Garden is holding their first-ever 5K Fun Run and I’m excited to participate. I love NYBG and all they do from supporting community gardens in the Bronx to botanical research around the globe.
NYBG is a special place and one that I care about deeply. Did you know that more than 300,000 children participate in education programs at NYBG each year? Or that their scientists are working on 81 different research projects in 79 different countries? Or that the William & Lynda Steere Herbarium houses over 7.8M specimens including specimens collected by Captain James Cook in 1768? Or that NYBG cares for over a million unique specimens within their living collections across its 250-acre campus?
NYBG is an advocate for the plant world, and I hope you will join me in supporting all that they do.
Please make a gift to support my run and the New York Botanical Garden by clicking on the Donate button on my fundraising page.
Thank you!
