On 7th June, I’ll be taking part in the Ambleside 10k and aiming to raise money for Kidney Research UK.

Kidney Research UK is a charity close to my heart as I have chronic kidney disease and am always heartened by their work.

I have never done anything like this before, so while I am still able to, I want to seize the opportunity to really challenge myself and hopefully raise some money for this important cause.

My daughter, Nicole, will be joining me in completing the 10k and will be helping me get through it - I’m both nervous and excited to be a part of this event which is something that would normally be totally out of my comfort zone!
