On 24th August 2025, we held our beloved Mum’s hand as she slipped away peacefully after a long battle with ill-health.

Heartbroken, we take comfort in the fact we were able to respect Mum’s wishes to stay in her beautiful home - thanks to the great support of Malmesbury District Nurse team.

Other families aren’t so lucky to have such amazing community nursing, and need the support of hospices and their teams.

Having experienced such a difficult time, and knowing how underfunded our UK hospices are, Mark and I invite any family and friends who’d like to make a tribute to Mum, to donate to Dorothy House who provide palliative and end of life care to adults with progressive, treatable but not curable life-limiting illness or with severe frailty, and also their family (including children) and carers.
