Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Originally I had just planned to run as a personal goal for myself, but having met Martin and Tara a few weeks ago I am now going to be fundraising in memory of their son, Charlie, who was fatally stabbed at a house party in 2023 at just 17 years old.
Martin now dedicates his time raising awareness of knife crime, frequently visiting schools and colleges to give talks to todays youth on the impacts and consequences of knife crime on peoples lives and society, in an attempt to reduce the number of teenagers becoming murdered or murderers through carrying weapons.
Given that teenagers can’t seem to walk home from school without being held at knife point for their phone, Martin is providing a much needed resource and a driving force for the government to do more about it. They are however only a charity and I am honoured to be able to support them in their endeavours.
