Busumbala nursery school needs a tap!
Busumbala Nursery School, now up and running after a bit of a bumpy start, is in need of a tap. Currently, the school is relying on the generosity of a neighboring compound for water but it's not a situation that can continue long-term. Lamin Barrow, our 'local hero', who's been instrumental in troubleshooting all sorts of things, has made the application to NAWEC (Gambia's water company. There's a pipe in the street not too far away that can be extended. So now we just need the funds to make it happen. A clean water source means much better hygiene and will also, later, enable the planting and maintenance of some trees for fruit and shade.
We don't know the exact costs yet, and of course, once there's a tap there'll be a monthly bill, so anything 'extra' raised will be put aside for that. £500 should cover it however, so please help us to make life a little easier, and healthier, for the children and staff of the school.
