Story
I'm walking 18 miles in memory of my brother Gavin — and I need your support.
On Sunday, 1st June 2025, I will be taking part in the Aberdeen Mighty Stride Kiltwalk, an 18-mile challenge, to raise vital funds for PAPYRUS – the national charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
This cause is extremely close to my heart as I’m walking in loving memory of my beloved late brother, Gavin Bosman. Losing him has left a space in my life that will never be filled, and I am determined to honour his memory by helping others who may be facing similar struggles.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. Every year, over 1,800 young lives are lost in this way — lives full of potential, love, and possibility. PAPYRUS is working every day to change this devastating reality.
The charity provides confidential support and practical advice through its life-saving helpline, HOPELINE247, offering a vital listening ear to young people struggling with suicidal thoughts, and to anyone concerned about a young person’s mental wellbeing.
Every £15 raised can help fund a life-saving contact. That means your donation — no matter how small or large — could truly help save a life.
Taking part in this walk, and raising money for PAPYRUS, means so much to me personally, it’s not just a physical challenge it’s a tribute, a commitment, and a way to create hope in the face of heartbreaking loss.
If you're able to support me in any way, I would be so very grateful. Together, we can bring awareness, offer support, and be part of a much needed change.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping me honour Gavin in the most meaningful way I know.
Christopher ❤️
