Story
In September 2026, I will be taking on challenge of 40tude's Slovenia Cycle Challenge, where I will ride up to 482km in just three and a half days. This event, beginning on 9 September 2026, is more than just a test of endurance—it is a mission to raise awareness about colon (bowel) cancer, the number one killer of non-smokers in the UK.
Colon cancer is one of the most treatable cancers if detected early, yet many people remain unaware of the importance of regular testing. That’s why 40tude is dedicated to encouraging everyone, especially those from their mid-40s onwards, to get tested regularly. The FIT test is simple and can be done at home with ease. Through our partnership with Selph, you can purchase a high-sensitivity qFIT test directly from their website: https://www.selph.co.uk/tests/q-fit-bowel-cancer-test.
I am aiming to raise £1,000 to support this vital cause. Any donation however small would be vry much appreciated and help fund awareness campaigns that save lives. But beyond donations, the most powerful action you can take is to get tested yourself and encourage your loved ones to do the same. Together, we can reduce the number of families affected by colon cancer.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity.
Chris
