I'm running the Belfast Marathon to help horses who endure ultramarathon levels of stress every day.

I used to run marathons and ultramarathons but haven't run a marathon distance in about 16 years - I've "been busy" (putting on weight and the like). So I expect this to be my most challenging marathon to date—perhaps by far—but if so, I'll remember that any suffering pales in comparison to that endured by some of our equine friends.
