Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

this story started off as a father and son on a weight loss journey, when me and my 13 year old son (Devlin) realised we wanted to document our progress and see if we can help others mentally. We soon realised we wanted to help a charity choosing UK sepsis trust as myself had sepsis in 2019 and spent 3 weeks in hospital, people who know about sepsis will be aware of the fact how long last the effects can be even more so mentally, so I want to help this charity by creating an amazing journey with my son, and hopefully we can inspire others to dig deep in life and that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
