Story

I will be taking on my biggest challenge yet by taking part in the Half Iron Man distance at the Outlaw Triathlon, Nottingham! Whilst I’ve ran several marathons and ultra marathons this challenge presents something new, having never really cycled or swam any distance! Yet alone put all three together (a 1.2mile swim, followed by a 56mile ride and 13.1 mile run)

I’m hoping to use this event to raise funds for Bowel Cancer UK, more of whom you can read about below. As many of you will know, a close friend and business partner was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the end of 2023 and is currently undergoing treatment. Knowing the challenge they face in overcoming this illness will no doubt help spur me on when the going gets tough in those later stages.

I look forward to the celebrations of crossing the finish line in Nottingham and that of theirs crossing the finish line of final treatment with a positive outcome!

Let the training commence!
