Story
In January I was diagnosed with blood cancer. I'm feeling pretty lucky in that I don't currently require any treatment, but I am being actively monitored on a regular basis. This takes it's toll mentally & I am therefore looking forward to getting out walking to help raise money for the invaluable support that WMUK offer to patients like me.
WMUK is the only charity in the UK focused solely on Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinaemia (WM), a rare type of blood cancer.
The charity's vision is that people affected by WM live long, good quality lives, supported every step of the way by WMUK.
Your support helps them to provide expert information, drive research and understanding in, and give personal support to empower patients and families to live well with WM.
250,000 steps in the month of June may not seem a lot to those of you who regularly walk 10k steps a day. However, I sit at a desk during the week doing only the odd evening stroll, so this challenge will mean getting out at the weekends to put in some miles!
I would be grateful if you could support me either with a donation to this worthy cause, or by joining me on a walk. Thank you.
