Trek for Tomorrow 2025 · 7 September 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

We’ll walk for those we’ve lost. We’ll walk to celebrate those who've survived. And we’ll walk to smash the stigma around suicide and get people talking. This isn’t a walk in the park - it’s a life-changing (and life-saving) trek.

Story

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm taking on the Trek for Tomorrow for Campaign Against Living Miserably and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate £5 or £500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.

In just a few weeks, myself and the Hocken family will be supporting CALM by taking part in their Trek for Tomorrow. On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, we’ll be joining a brilliant crew of people plus the charity ambassador Danny Jones from McFly to walk 30km across the beautiful Peak District where I grew up.

We’ll be honouring Poppy's first born, Alex, who would have turned 40 this year.

Alex loved the Peaks. He was happiest in nature, cycling up mammoth hills in the West Country, climbing cliffs in Sheffield, diving off the Bristol shoreline, or chasing Cornish waves when he couldn't skateboard.

Being in nature is also what got the family through the unbearable first few years after losing Alex in 2016. He’s one of 125 people in the UK who lose their lives to suicide every single week.

Thankfully, so much has changed since then. The incredible team at CALM is working tirelessly to remove the stigma around suicide and mental health. Let’s keep lifting the taboo around sharing how we’re feeling. No one should ever feel alone, or like their life isn’t worth saving. Everyone deserves to be here. Some people just need a little reminder. Let’s help save a life.

We’re trekking for the tomorrow Alex didn’t get and the tomorrow we all deserve.

We know times are hard and the cost of living is a lot right now, so we’re truly grateful for anything you can give 💫

As Alex used to say: peas and love.

Matt, Beth, Ellie, Poppy and Christopher

Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. CALM exists to change this - by offering life-saving services, provoking national conversation, and bringing people together to reject living miserably.
